Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Project Accounting Specialist to strengthen the SSC Accounting to Reporting team in Sweden

AFRY’s Shared Service Center is responsible for all accounting and reporting for AFRY’s Swedish companies. The Accounting to Reporting team is currently looking for a Senior Project Accounting Specialist to help drive our projects forward and secure the accounting processes within this area of expertise. In this role, you will have many points of contact and work closely with the team, business controllers and Group Accounting as well as other departments globally in the Group.

Your main tasks:

• Manage project accounting and revenue recognition according to K3 standard
• Perform financial analysis and reporting on project profitability as well as ensure accurate bookkeeping of project costs and revenues for the Swedish companies
• Functioning as a bridge between the Accounting to Reporting team in Sweden, the business and Group Accounting in project accounting and analysis
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to optimize project financial outcomes
• Be responsible for, and analysis of, project driven processes and reconciliations within the Swedish companies
• Develop and drive process enhancements and improvements within financial accounting and reporting to ensure more effective routines and procedures as well as add value to our internal customers

You will belong to the finance department in SSC Stockholm, consisting of 35 people divided into two teams. You will be part of the Accounting to Reporting Team, which today includes 5 Chief Accountants with a total of 14 people. You will report directly to the manager for Accounting to Reporting, Marie Goding. “As the manager I like to lead the team with full trust and close communication. Freedom within your full responsibility but with support when needed is my take on leadership.”

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate has

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent, or higher.
• Several years of experience in qualified accounting within larger companies with complex financial flows in both local (K3) and international accounting standards
• Independence in financial analysis and reporting of project accounting
• Strong analytical skills and attention to details as well as the ability to see the greater perspectives
• A great knowledge of project accounting principles
• A positive, independent and self-initiated way of working and hands-on attitude
• An interest in a system-based landscape and will to learn more and develop new ways of working
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Capability to see and drive the development of internal processes and ways of working together with colleagues in different part of the organization
• Experience with accounting systems such as IFS, Maconomy or Visma is a plus

As a person, you are meticulous and can effectively plan, prioritize, and coordinate both your own workload, but also have a broader perspective for the Group needs. You have a positive attitude towards challenges and thrive in a changing environment with a high pace. Naturally, you are service-oriented and see contact with people as something natural and positive.
