Introduction benefit
Introduction benefit is money that you are paid when you take part in the introduction programme.
How do I receive introduction benefit?
When you have received a decision about the introduction programme you apply for introduction benefit from Försäkringskassan (The Swedish Social Insurance Agency). The simplest way to apply is on Försäkringskassan's website. Here you can also read more about how to apply and when the money is paid.
What is required to receive introduction benefit?
When you take part in the introduction programme, it is important that you follow the plan you have with us. This means for example that you need to take part in the activities we have agreed on. You also need to be active and apply for jobs if this is included in your plan.
You need to report your activities every month and notify us if you fall sick. If you need time off, you must first obtain our consent.
How much money do I receive?
During the assessment period you receive 231 kronor per day. When your assessment is complete and we have drawn up your plan together you receive 308 kronor per day. You might also be entitled to different supplements:
- If you have children you might be entitled to introduction supplement.
- If you live alone you might be entitled to rent supplement.
It is Försäkringskassan that decides on the supplement and calculates how much benefit you are entitled to. You can read more about what benefits you might be entitled to on Försäkringskassan's website.
