Council of Social Partners (trade unions and employer organisations)

Arbetsförmedlingen’s Council of Social Partners is an advisory body on issues relating to the government agency's activities. The council consists of the director-general and representatives of employers and employees.

Employer and employee representatives

The council consists of the director-general as chair and fourteen members. Half of the members represent employers, and the other half represents employees. Each council member has a substitute. Arbetsförmedlingen decides the number of members and substitutes on the council, and these are appointed after consultation with selected employers’ and employees’ organisations. Arbetsförmedlingen takes part as chair and meeting secretary. Arbetsförmedlingen's director-general manages the council’s work.
